Safari Tour: In the jungle on the set of Apocalypse Now
Departure at 8.30 am on board of an open truck.
Our first stop is the sugar cane fields, where we can enjoy a piece just picked and cut.
We will visit a batey, a village where the workers of these farm live.
We will leave these places to visit a cigar factory and a small tobacco plantation.
We will continue towards the city of Higuey to see the typical market.
Along the Chavon river we reach a restaurant where you can try the typical flavors of Dominican cuisine.
After lunch we are going to travel along the banks of the Rio Chavon on board of a raft. The vegetation around the river is jungle and it was the film set for the popular movie “Apocalypse Now”. The numerous lianas allow us to make fun dives in an absolutely heavenly environment.
